Hi
Can somebody please help me solve this issue:
Error Message = Call failed: Maximum call-per-line limit r......
I am unable to transfer calls after the call has been placed on hold, however can transfer the call if it wasn't put on hold first. This is not happening on handsets with one line appearance.
I am only having this problem with one phone that has the same number appearance on another 2 handsets e.g. ext 2800 appears on phone A, B & C all hansets are CISCO 8945.
I currently have the maximum number of calls programmed to 9 on all 3 extensions where 2800 appears
I currently have Busy trigger set to 4 on all the 3 extensions where 2800 appears and have reset all the phones after making the change.
I HAVE JUST CHANGED OVER THE PHONE FROM A 8945 TO A 8845 AND THE PROBLEM HAS GONE AWAY. Can anybody please advise if this is a BUG or is there something I can do to make the 8945 work

Can you try to set the busy trigger to 6 and see if it works?

Hi Mohammed
Thank you for your reply. Tried changing the busy trigger as you suggest but it did not work. In my previous I mentioned that this did not happen with the one line appearance, but at that stage I did not realise that the phone I was testing was a 8845 as it definitely does work with this handset. But does not work on the 8945 can not put a call on hold then retrieve the call and transfer getting error message

Hi Suzy,
I'm curious if you are running the 8945 as SIP or SCCP and what firmware version you are running? There is a very similar bug with SCCP 9-3-1.

Hi Rob
Thanks for your reply
We are running SCCP 8941_8945.9-4-1-9
Do you know if the bug affects version 8941_8945.9-4-1-9 too.

Hi Suzy,
First off, you are most welcome my friend!
The bug notes for this bug are very poorly written (common problem) and they do not show a fixed-in version(s). I would try to use the latest firmware which is Firmware Release 9.4(2)SR3. It is almost 3 years newer than what you are running so it probably includes plenty of bug fixes;

Hi Suzy,
No worries :) Let us know how things work out after you do the firmware upgrade down the road.
Cheers!
