Understanding CAPF and CTL on Cisco UCM?

Can someone explain CAPF and CTL on Cisco UCM in terms of what they provide and how they can used?

I'm not finding any straight-to-the-point information or a quick overview about them.

Any help would be great.

CAPF = CA Server for CUCM and Phones

CTL = List of Servers that the CAPF "Trusts"

Those are good definitions and thank you for that. Is the CAPF server accessible by an administrator for any purpose other than just downloading the certificates?
