Unity 4.0(4)SR1 Upgrade

Hello all, we are ugrading our old unity 4.0(4)SR1 to the latest version. We already have the Cisco MCS Server with Windows 2003 pre-loaded and I am wondering which version I need? First of all, what is the difference in Unity and Unity Connection? Secondly, can I do a straight upgrade from 4.0(4)SR1 to the latest version (of unity or untiy connection, whichever one I need). I was planning on using COBRAS to backup the old unity, install the latest version on the new server and then import the backed up data to the new version. So again, which version do I need and can I make a straight jump to it with COBRAS? Thank youall!

Unity is still windows based, CUC is Linux appliance and you cannot use COBRAS as the minimum is Unity 4.0(5).

If you want to use COBRAS you need to upgrade to 4.0(5) first and there is no way around this.

Ok thanks, so would you recommend that I install 4.0(4)SR1 onto my new MCS windows 2003 server then use DIRT to backup my current unity, then restore the backup onto the new server with 4.0(4)SR1 then upgrade that version up to 4.0(5) then upgrade from that point with COBRAS?

Thanks Rob. Yeah, I am not using connection, just unity. So that means that I cannot use COBRAS to go from 4.0(4), it appears I will need to upgrade to at least 4.0(5) to be able to use COBRAS otherwise I will need to DIRT from this 4.0(4) box to the the new box.
