I have Unity 7.x on production.
In Call Handler I have checked "Allow callers to dial an extension during greeting"
When user dial phone extension which doesnt has subscriber VM box. It is not ringing that extension.
How to achieve this.
Restriction table for "default transfer" Defiult sys trs. allows "*" - YES.
We want even extension dont have VM box. If caller feed that entension in call handler AA, that IP phone should ring.
Pls. suggest.
Thanks.

Hi Rajesh,
You may be probably lokcing the keys. Please don't lock the keys which should allow dial to an extension.

If i dial subscriber extension, call go through.
Pls. suggest.

Hi Rajesh,
I have just now found that it's not allowed to dial a non-subscriber extension by default due to call handlers.
Please try with the following Cisco unity tool to add 2-3 non-subscriber extension numbers and hope it should meet your objective. If it works, you can extend to all non-subscribers in your system.

Dear Ashok
Ohhh, it is shocking news for us. There are 1000 users and VM is only for 150, that means 850 call handler for other extensions, those are not in sequence.
Is it possible if we select Caller Stystem transfer ? In that case, how to avoid, confirmation prompt "transfer to number xyz press 1, dial other number press 2.
Also, in that case if anyine dial wrong number, no action happens.....! how to reprompt for "enter extension you wish to dial:?
Pls. suggest.

Hi Rajesh,
Yes, System transfer is also a good feature but there is no provision to come back to caller menu if the user dials a wrong number. This is due to call released to the phone system from Unity as soon as the callers enters extension number.
And also, these transfers should be permitted in "Default System Transfer restriction table" which is a mandatory requirement.
Hope it helps...

Just ran into the same problem a few days ago.
Check System Settings/Restriction Tables/Default System Transfer.
By default you have 5 rules defined. Last one is "*". Just disable this rule.
