Unity Connection 10.5 Distribution list

Greeting,

 

I failed to send messages to a system distribution list :

 

1-I configured the DL and give it an extension 8888.

2-Associate members with this DL.

3-All message to be sent to this DL without Access list and allow users to send message to it.

 

But what I hear is the general message greeting for voice mail (Hello welcome to Cisco messaging system for touch tone you may dial an extension anytimee.....etc)

 

What I am missing here or what I am doing wrong.

What instructions are you following to send the voicemail to the DL?

what I did now is I make a call Handler with owner as A DL and give it the Number I mean for the call Handler (8888) on the call Manger I created a cti route point with cfa to unity.

Which Cisco Unity Conenction are you running? Look like Unity for any reason is not receiving the called number 8888 to match the distrbution list account. Are you sure 8888 has been config on the distribution list?

8888 is configured  as the number of the call handler and the call Handler owner is the distribution list.

That could be the problem. There's not need to use a Call Handler. When Cisco Unity received the call will look for a voicemail acount number 8888 (DL). Try deleting the Call Handler and just forward the call from CTI Point 8888 to voicemail.
