Hello All,
I pretty new to call trees, call handlers, etc. in Cisco Unity Connection. I have a requirement to set up an Auto Attendant to greet callers to one of our offices main numbers. I have a high level understanding of the steps to get this set up but this post is more of a specific question around the audio recording functionality in Unity Connection.
In the Recordings section of the Greeting (Standard) page, there is a java applet which can be used to play or record an audio file. I clicked on this button to start the Java applet and I was able to select the extension of a phone to record an audio clip. My issue here is that I can't seem to find a way to change the extension to a different one to use for recording. How do I do this?

Hi
On top left corner of java app, you have "Option menu"and than "Playback and recording settings"
There you can specify the new phone number.

I have tried this but there does not seem to be an option to change the number. Is there something I am missing?

It is Cisco Unity Connection version: 8.5.1ES92.14900-92.
Thanks for the pictures.
I get the first picture but not the second. I have tried it also both through I.E. and Firefox in case it was a browser issue but still no success.

Hi.
It depends on your java version.
Last version works good.
If you have older version of java, please remove them otherwise playback and recording option will not work.
Also add your unity connection url as trusted site on java security config as follows:
https://<ip address>:8443 <<--- you have to specify port 8443

Hi Adil,
Based on my experience, the Java Applet that is on almost all Cisco applications are EXTREMELY sensitive to Java versions and installations of Java.
If it is not playing as per the pictures, I will recommend you to go to java.com, and verify the followings
1. Are you on current Java?
2. Is there any older incompatible version of Java installed?
3. Verify JAva is installed and working great
All this can be done from java.com website and it has saved me a lot of time in the recent past.
However if any of these measures do not seem to resolve your issue, the next step, if I were you, I would get a Fresh Install of an OS and try.
