•If the parameter is present in any of the installed license files, the maximum length is the setting in Cisco Unity Administrator.

Note Cisco Unity license files are installed only on the primary server.

Depending on whether the parameter is present in any of the installed license files, determines whether upgrading from Cisco Unity 4.x is allowed:
•If the parameter is not in any of the installed license files, upgrading from Cisco Unity 4.x to Cisco Unity 5.x or later is not allowed.
•If the parameter is present in any of the installed license files, upgrading from Cisco Unity 4.x to Cisco Unity 5.x or later is allowed.
