What is the benefit of having sip trunk rather sccp based installation

Well, regarding features they are much more the same. There is no actual benefit of using SIP, besides that the configuration is simpler. Technically, in SCCP integration you have one-to-one mappings between voicemail ports in CUCM and CUC; this may result in a bit simpler troubleshooting in heavy utilized environments.

The only feature that SCCP integration has over SIP is support for music on hold during a Supervised Transfer. Those are fairly rare though. I recommend people use a SIP integration unless you have a specific reason not to. SIP is the direction everything at Cisco is going.
