Update 8865 firmware to use 3PCC

Hi there,

Is there any way to update the firmware on a CP-8865-K9= to use 3PCC?

This article seems to suggest that, but im am still unsure:

Cisco Call Manager or non-Cisco Call Manager?

If this is non-Cisco Call Manager, what is the intention of loading 3PCC for?  The standard SIP will work with non-Cisco Call Manager (like Asterisk).  The main thing to do is to ensure the phone configuration works.

I wanted to use this with a SIP voip service like voip.ms...but it's proving to either be impossible or more difficult than i want to spend time on. I've decided to put my 8865 up for sale and pick up a Yealink T48G to use with a sip voip service. No more Cisco for me...thanks

After you upgrade to the enterprise firmware, you cannot revert to the third-party call control firmware.
