upgrade cme from 8.6 to 9.1

I am having CME 8.6 having current IOS " c2900-universalk9-mz.SPA.151-4.M4.bin " with following licenses installed:

i need to upgrade to CME 9.1 to use Jabber.

Can i upgrade the IOS from 15.1(4) to 15.2(4) without any additional licenses or i need to purchase extra licenses for cme 9.1 ?

Yes you can as long as you have support on your router. Licenses will carry over.

why is important to have support? to download the CME?.. some technical documentation to make this upgrade will very aprecciated, thnks!

Because without support, if your router fails, you have to pay yourself for replacement.

And, you have no access to software update, and no technical support.

All the documentation is on cisco.com if you could take the time searching.
