Upgrading CUCM 6.1.2 to 6.1.4 doubt

Hi,

I am trying  to upgrade CUCM 6.1.2 to CUCM 6.1.4. I am upgrading using a DVD. I have given for upgrading as per the cisco procedure. After giving upgrade the server shows 'downloading the file' and the downloading status is 'accessing the upgrade file, please wait'. Its been one and a half hours now. Still no progress from that status message. Earlier I had done CUCM 8 upgrade but such status was not shown. So my doubt is that am I on the right track? For CUCM 6 will it show the downloading file status? If so how long will it take? Please update.

Hi,

I want to add one more point to the above discussion. No errors has been popped up until now.

Hi

Close your web browser, then re-open it and return to the software installation page. It will have a button to 'assume control' of the upgrade.

What happened is that the DVD took so long to download, that the web browser connection times out. It appears to have frozen, as it just hasn't updated when the DVD completed.

Regards

Aaron

Hi Aaron.

Thanks for the update.

I did as u said. But when I logged in its asking for the file path as if we are starting new file upgrade. When i gave the DVD path, its now againg showing the same status of downloading the file. Please help.

Hi,

Now I am trying to upgrade using SFTP server. But when I select the next tab after giving all required inofrmation its giving an error saying 'user and password is not valid.'

Please update. Thanks.

Hi Friends,

The issue has been resolved now. The name of the merged file was changed causing the issue. Now after changing into real one, it started working perfectly. As the name was changed the server was not able to fetch the correct file with real name.

Thanks a lot. Cheers.
