User locale not working on one of 7962G phones

Hello,

I'm stuck with locale problem on 7962G phones. There are several 7962G controlled by UCM 10.5.2 and one of them can not install Russian locale. In status messages i see "Error Updating Locale" message. The only difference between the same phones with working locale I found is UDI - V15 works and V16 not. How to troubleshoot this problem?

Hi Maxim,

A few things that you may try:

>> Delete and readd this 7962 on cucm

>> Swap it with a working 7962 

>> Change the device pool or callmanager group of this 7962

>> Erase CTL/ITL files 

>> if nothing works then try a factory reset

Hi Maxim,

If all these options including a factory reset have been tried then i suggest opening a TAC SR to verify if this phone indeed is faulty and if it needs to be RMA'd.

Does it work if you load it with default locale? Are you on the latest firmware?

Phone works but it is in English. Near there is the same 7962G works with Russian locale, the only difference is V15 (working locale) and V16 (not working locale) in UDI. Firmware is the same on both phones.

Try to upgrade the firmware on v16 phones.
