My office has several branches that need the use of a cordless phone. Due to the nature of our business we cannot have a wireless network active at our locations. Is there a cisco (or cisco-compatable) IP phone that is cordless that does not require a wireless network (like a home cordless phone)?

Cisco does not have a "cordless IP phone" that does not use WiFi. I am not certain of your enviroment (CME/UC5XX/CUCM) but you can have the cordless phones go into a FXS port on a voice gateway and still operate them as normal with additional config. Also, Cisco does have the SPA525 phones that have Bluetooth, if that is an avenue you wanted to pursue.

You can also use an ATA with your analog cordless phone.

Thank you for the insight. My only issue with this is that is would make the connection to the phone 100% analog. I was researching the Siemens A580IP which has a SIP compatable setup. I might order one to test it out.

I've yet to hear of anyone getting that device to work with CUCM. Must break-out wireshark sometime to have a look....

Hi
Has anyone had any success yet in configuring a Gigaset A580IP with CUCM as we have one and I have tried using basic and advanced SIP setup with CUCM but it doesn't seem to want to connect. if anyone has any news on this I'd much appreciate it
Thanks
