Using CIMC to monitor a FMC 2000 device

Hi,

I was recently told that CIMC can be used to monitor not only UCS servers but also Prime Infrastructure, Cisco Security Manager and Firepower Management Centre 2000 device. Previously I thought it only monitored UCS servers. Can someone tell me how this is possible more specifially in relation to CIMC being used to monitor the FMC 2000?

Are you referring to Cisco Integrated Management Controller? If so, CIMC is an embedded management/monitoring interface on Cisco UCS C-seires servers tied to that server. So, I don't see how that would work with any thing else. Perhaps it was in regards to Cisco UCS Manager or something else?

Nope it can't monitor fmc2k. Its only used as Chris mentioned.
