Using LSC for WLAN EAP-TLS on Wireless Phone 840/860

Hello,

I am currently testing the Wireles Phone 840 and 860. I initially used a PSK SSID to register and provision them on the CUCM. That works so far. I have installed an LSC and set the device to encrypted.

For production, however, I would like to use a different SSID and perform authentication by certificate according to 802.1X EAP-TLS. With the 7800 and 8800 phones, I can use the LSC without any problems. But with the wireless phones, it does not show me a user certificate during WLAN setup, even though an LSC is installed.

The deployment guide (https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cuipph/800-series/deployment/840_860_wlandg.pdf) says that the MIC for EAP-TLS is not supported. Does this also apply to the LSC?
I don't have an EMM or I don't want to use it for the wireless phones. Do I really have to install a separate certificate on the phones for WLAN? What is the best way to do this without an EMM? The guide only hints at this. Is there a solution for implementing this with a CUCM?

Kind regards

Nico
