Dear Experts
Is there any way to connect analog phone without using Cisco VG202 or any other Cisco device.....as a VG 202 will connect only two(2) phnes, hence it becomes vey costly for juz connecting two phones.

It depends on how many ports you need/want. Other options are VG204, ATA187 or vic2-2fxo, vic2-4fxo ports

I am afraid those are all the options that you have. You can switch to IP based fax like right fax as an alternative.

All the VG gateways are IOS based devices: Easy to manage, but you pay for it.
All the Cisco ATAs are based on a third party chipset, and configuration is...*sigh*.

A certain company called "Cisco" makes a two line ATA:
The ATA 187 is about a quarter of the price of the VG202.
