If I set up a remote site as CME-as-SRST, will a VG224 work when the WAN link goes down?
If yes, does it use the same protocol (SCCP/ H.323/ MGCP/ SIP) in both normal and survivable modes?
Lastly, is this different if I use plain SRST?

Yes it will.
You should use SIP or H,323 between VGs and CM. If features are desired, VG224 ports should be configured as SCCP.
MGCP should not be used. If you do, you will encouter many limitations and complications.

Hi Paolo,
Could you please mention few limitations and complications we can encounter with MGCP for Vg224. We have about 20 VG224 with SCCP and the managment wants to move to MGCP. I would appreciate your input.
Thanks,
MK
