Hey Guys,
I have a question, I have a client with one 7845 (CUCM 7.1(3)) and a single 3825. They want the analog device to failover to the 3825 should the Call Manager fail. My question is can I still setup the VG224's in CUCM using MGCP and create an SRST reference or do I need to configure them as SCCP create a SRST reference in CUCM and create the ephones manually?
Thanks,
Rick

Hi Rick,
we can use he following:
To enable remote Cisco Unified Communications Manager servers and the local Cisco Unified Survivable Remote Site Telephony (Cisco Unified SRST) router for determining the order in which the systems assume call control for analog endpoints connected to analog Foreign Exchange Station (FXS) ports on a Cisco voice gateway.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/voice/fxs/configuration/guide/fxssrst.html
Does that help?

Hi there,
Unfortunately, the short answer is no. Remember SRST is SCCP based so VG224/FXS
needs to be configured for SCCP controlled and not MGCP for it to work properly.
Ofcourse IOS supports SIP SRST as well for SIP endpoints.
