VG240 - ATA190 Migration along with CUCM

Hi Guys,

We are currently using VG240 on CUCM 7.x version with MGCP Gateway. We are migrating CUCM to 11.5 and going to use ATA 190 with the same MGCP Gateway.

Please let me know what are the design considerations and what configuration changes to be made to make this working?

ATA 190 can only do SIP

I have gone thru- What do you mean by it can only do SIP, we cannot use MGCP Gateway here? What is the difference between these two adapters?

I see below in network requirements, what does this mean?

Voice packet gateway—Required if you are connecting to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). A gateway is not required if an analog key system is in effect.

what i mean is you can add ATA 190 only as SIP to CUCM nothing else.
