Greetings to all,
Kindly advise if we can configure a new Voip branch CME router (with 30 ip phones registered using cme license on router as cme for internal calling) for inward & outward DID through another CISCO VOIP GATEWAY at HQ as the end user is not able to get service provider direct subscription voip sip line
Please advise How to configure DID and enable external calling on cme router by using vpn connection to HQ which is having cisco voip server and gateway. End user IT wants us to route external DID calls through ip of this HQ gateway.

Simply configure the call routing as necessary, there's nothing special about this, it's all basic call routing, dial peers on the ISR, route patterns, CSS and partitions in CUCM.

Call all this be configured on branch CME VOIP router or is there anything to be done on the HQ CUCM and HQ GW to which calls are to be routed

You need to configure the call routing you want to happen, if you want to route calls between CME, CUCM and the HQ GW, you need to configure it. Otherwise, how do you expect the calls to work if you don't configure the call routing you need???
