Voip One way media

Hi,

We recently removed a cisco phone system from our network and now have a other brand.

However some of the config on there still remains from the old cisco phones for QOS.

My question is do you think that having this config in there would cause issues we are experiencing with one way media? A copy of the config from one of our switches is below.

I can't see anything obvious in that config. I would suspect that you've got some sort of asymetric routing problem.

Someone has suggested i remove the following:

mls qos trust device cisco-phone

mls qos trust cos

auto qos voip cisco-phone

and chnage it to :

mls qos trust cdscp

auto qos voip trust

As they are no longer Cisco phones.

Make any difference?

I suspect that'll only kick in once your network is under load and having to prioritise traffic. But even if traffic was being incorrectly prioritised, you'd probably still hear some choppy/distorted voice.

As your question isn't about CUCM or CME, you're probably better off asking in your vendors VoIP forums. You can pop over to the Cisco network forum if you're having QoS marking/prioritisation problems.
