Hi All,
Could it be possible to use my 7204VXR router for routing calls from Avaya Definity phone system between our intranet connections on an E1 pipe?
I will be going to connect my 7204VXR router to the DS1 board of my Avaya Definity, our intranet end will have the same setup as well.
My problem is i don't know the proper configuration on the E1 interface side & the Avaya interface side.
Could someone give me a sample configuration on this setup if ever this is possible?
Thanks
Cliff

Do you have already the PA-VXA, PA-VXB, or PA-VXC needed to make voice connections on a 7200 ?

card type x/y E1
controller e1 x/y
clock source internal
pri-group
int serial x/y:15
isdn protocol-emulate network
Then check "show controller E1" and "show isdn status" if it came up.

thanks,
also i have multi-channel T1/Pri card with 2 ports.
How would i configure if my setup is like this?
1. PA-VXC-2TE1 > inbound or going to intranet end
2. multi-channel T1/Pri will be going to Avaya/DS1.
Is it the right setup?.How should i configure my VXR Router?..
Thanks
Cliff

Hi, the PA-VX connects to PBX. The other card is of no use for voice. The rest of the setup depends on what you want to do and what other systems you have.
