Hey Everyone,

i have a customer with 2 ucs220 server in sperate side that we installed for him with CUCM/CUP/CUC ( all version 12.5su4)

in one of the side the servers shutdown because power problem in the building and after that all the servers in the side ( all the servers in the side is Subscribe) up with this warning message :

WARNING: Ungraceful shutdown detected - A rebuild of this node is highly recommended
to ensure no negative impact(such as configuration or file system corruption). For
rebuild instructions, see the installation guide.

the meaning of that is to install the node from the beginning?

there is any other way to rebuild the node without install new one?

Any indication, on how the result of the "show tech dbintegrity" would look, if there actually is a problem?
That is, what should I search in the resulting log file?

Can you restore using a backup which was completed after ungraceful shutdown was present?

Thank you.

Yes that is a viable option.

In the newer releases of UCM,

In the event of an ungraceful shutdown, we would recommend 2 checks.

* DB integrity checks.
- For this "show tech dbintegrity" on the Pub and share output with TAC for validation.

* OS integrity checks.
- If there are no issues with your DB integrity. We can move on to the OS integrity check, which will need a downtime.

The exact steps for this are in this document: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/unified-communications/unified-communications-manager-callmanager/118948-technote-cucm-00.html

If the server passes these, you can disable the alert you see asking for the rebuild via command line.
