Hello,
I have bought a Cisco CP-9971 IP phone second hand online.
When I plug the phone in, it boots up as required and it fetches its DHCP address. However when I try to log int the web Ui by typing this address into my browser I cannot connect to it. I just get the default browser error message of "Unable to connect - please try one of the following - ...etc" with some advice like maybe leave it a while and try again later, The picture of the web page when entered into the browser is attached.
It is clear that something has been messed up! I have factory reset the phone and still this happens. All I have on the home screen is a header saying "Phone not registered" with a loading icon beside it. I have a few options in settings but none of these seem make any difference to my problem.
Some advice from anyone who has had a problem like this before or who knows how to remedy the situation would be greatly appreciated.

What are you registering it to?
You have to actually enable web access to do what your doing.

I'm trying to register it to my own system
I have never had this problem before, with any other phone Cisco or otherwise.
How do you enable web access, I would assume its located in the Administrator Settings?
The registering should not be a problem, I can generally manage to edit/create configuration files, Its just accessing the web page from the phone that is my problem

What version of CUCM are you registering it to?
Assuming that is where you are registering it to, login to your PUB, find your phone, scroll down towards the bottom and look for WEB ACCESS.

I'm not using a version of CUCM, Is it necessary?
I am working with a new system and have never had this problem before with any other phone

So if you aren't using CUCM or I would guess CME then you are registering the phone to a 3 party PBX?

I'm working with a 3 party PBX,
I have learned that it is incompatible with my system.

Did you manage to get it to work for 3 party, I use Zadarma PBX, and cant get it to register nor Access Web UI

The reason why you can't access the web GUI is because the phone is looking for a call server and the CNF.XML file may have the web access disabled.
