What is the difference between directory level CSS and hardphone level CSS,
Can you please explain thats for me.If I define css on the dn what does it mean.

I think dn level css is high prioty than hard phone.can you please correct me if im wrong.

If you configure a calling search space both on an IP phone line and on the device (IP phone) itself, Cisco Unified Communications Manager concatenates the two calling search spaces and places the line calling search space in front of the device calling search space. If the same route pattern appears in two partitions, one contained in the line calling search space and one contained in the device calling search space, Cisco Unified Communications Manager selects the route pattern that is listed first in the concatenated list of partitions (in this case, the route pattern that is associated with the line calling search space).

Yes, DN level CSS is used first based on the above explanation.

Hi,

Just to add one more point other than excellenet information provided before, you've one more CSS at device pool viz 'Device Mobility Calling Search Space'. From the name, it seems it's applicable only when you're roaming but no, it's also applicable if you're not roaming and at device level, device CSS is not set.

So Line and Device Mobility CSS will be concatenated if device level CSS is not set, else Line and Device CSS will be concatenated (if device level CSS is set).
