When using 9.@ route pattern, what is the difference using PreAt or PreDot in router list details?

Installing CUCM 8.6 to replace CallManager 4.2(3).  The old CallManager is using 9.@ route patterns with route filters.  The route lists have 2 gateways selected, but one will have PreDot Trailing-# for the Discard Digits of the Called Party Transformations and the other will have PreAt Trailing-#.  There doesn't seem to be any consistancy as to which gateway gets PreDot vs. PreAt across the different route lists.

Can anyone tell me why you would use PreDot vs. PreAt Discard Digits (configured in route list) with the 9.@ route patterns?

It looks like a mistake as preDot would simply strip 9, and pre @ would strip 9., essentially they are doing the same thing though.

Thanks Chris.  That's the way I saw it, but I didn't want to make that change unless I knew what the implications would be.  I'll be using the 9.@ route pattern with the PreDot Trailing-# in the Discard Digits.

Thanks Again.
