You can use Recovery Disk.Nothing is going to be lost.

I doubt this could be a bug

pwrecovery tool does not update the internal user passwords
CSCug92142
Symptom:
Changing the security password using pwreset results in database replication going down.

file tail /cm/log/informix/ccm.log logs similar lines

09:05:12 Password Validation for user [dblpm] failed!
09:05:12 Check for password aging/account lock-out.
09:05:12 listener-thread: err = -952: oserr = 0: errstr = dblpm@CCM[CCM]: User (dblpm@CCM[CCM])'s password is not correct for the database server.

Conditions:
Fresh install of CM 9.1.1 or 9.1.1a
Change the security password using the pwrecovery method

Workaround:
Contact TAC for workaround

The Recovery Disk is meant to repair the file system. After using it, the recommendation is to do a full system backup, a new install, and a restore to avoid any potential issues that may arise again.

Assuming your install isn't completely hosed, the intent of the Recovery CD is NOT to erase any of your information, but repair the underlying file system.

Good luck with the repair!

Hi Aman,

Yes, this is bug, but we don't have service contract, no choice to open a case. Any advice is appreciated.

Hi,

Try using Recovery CD first .If it helps great , else u need to have [ESW ]Service Contract in place to resolve the issue.

regds,

Oh god, it works. Thanks Tony and Aman.

Gr8...

Have ESW purchased to avoid any unknown issues for which TAC assistance is reuqired.
