Hi Fam,
Please, I would like to find out if there are other software aside Packet-tracer that could be used to build a large complex network project. I want to implement various routing protocols, config new generation firewall, servers, BGP, IDS/IPS etc. Either free or licensed one. Thanks

You can use CML https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/cloud-systems-management/modeling-labs/index.html this comes in two versions, personal and enterprise. You can play with this for free in the devnet sandbox too https://developer.cisco.com/modeling-labs/ (link at the bottom)
Hope this helps.

You can use CML for 200$ personal edition.
there are others available if you like to use and have good resourcs
GNS3
PNET Lab
EVE-NG
Container Lab and so on.
You can google above terms so you get plenty of resource available how to install and use it.
