Hi All,
I have a question regarding the excessive bandwidth allocation for LLQ under IOS XR. When configuring bandwidth remaining under class, is the bandwidth not used by priority queue at the moment part of the excessive bandwidth? Another question is, for priority confiugration, it forces an explicit policer to be configured, does it mean even during uncongested period the packet in priority queue that exceeds the rate will be discarded? Please see the code is per below.
policy-map OUT
class CLASS1
priority
police rate percent 50
class CLASS2
bandwidth percentage 20
bandwidth remaining percent 30
class CLASS3
bandwidth percentage 30
bandwidth remaining percent 60
class class-default
Thanks for the answer.

Hi Jin,
I am not sure about the first question. But for your second question, hardware platforms in Cisco support Always-ON LLQ which mean even if there is no congestion on the link and the bandwdith limit on LLQ is exceeded it drops the packets.
