My recent encounters of PTP have caused to question my understanding of clocks. My understanding of the topic is that the frequency fed through SyncE/10M connection will allow the DUT to synchronise its oscillators with the master allowing it to maintain the duration of a time interval. Similarly 1pps would signal the start of a time interval (s) and together 1pps + frequency allow the router to know when the "time"starts and how long each interval is . Is my understanding correct ?
