Hi All,
I have to propose a design for a client in Africa but the connectivity seems to be a challenging area. The Fibre cable option is not there and leased line is unstable.
I have to connect several sites and of course a new DR site has to be established.
I am writing to check if having 2 MPLS (for DC-DR, DR-DC (bidirectional DR)) would suffice connectivity? or we have to put p2p for replication etc in addition? How do you think that should happen at Layer 3/2? and through DIY or NNI technologies?
Kindly assist me with it. Kindly help me with challenges from your past experience. Many Thanks.

Yes, since VPLC / Drak fibre is costly when we writing a business case, we need to consider MPLS or Internet Pipe some time for alternative option(how business accept is different question)
Technically possible, but make sure you throughly test before going live.
here is some example :

Using Dark Fibre is a grey area even it comes due to vandalism and intensional cable cuts.
P2P is an option but do you think MPLS will be better for Bidirectional DC-DR?
Both side we have Cisco ASA so, EIGRP or OSPF both are possible....
can you pls help me with challenges from your past experience or you can sense as of now with such requirement...
