mLDP Label Mapping RPF via ISIS MTR?

Hi All,

Does anyone know if label mapping messages from mLDP can use ISIS Address-family ipv4 multicast for RPF?  I know regular PIM message can use it for RPF but am not sure about mLDP label mapping messages.

Hi,

Per my understanding, LSR doesnt have RPF concept as such. MLDP uses MPLS data plane and so is different from the traditional multicast architecture.

LSR while receiving mLDP label mapping MSG from downstream node, it will perform lookup in local fwding table to identify the upstream node to reach ROOT and send the label mapping MSG.
