MPLS load balancing

If i have network with 2 possible routes  with the same cost between 2 edge routers as shown below

First route: PE1-->P1-->P2-->P3-->PE2

Second route: PE1-->P1-->P4-->P3-->PE2

I have enabled ospf and mpls on this network.

Is the L2VPN and L3VPN mpls traffic load balanced between PE1 and PE2???

Look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers,

Thanks kubn2

I have checked the URL

It talks about bgp load balancing when we have muliple bgp nexthops

But my case is different, there is only one bgp nexthop (PE2 the only advertisior for all routes to PE1 ,PE2 is the only bgp next hop) and there is muliple IGP equal cost routes inside my mpls domain between PE1 and PE2

The question: will be load balance between pe1 and pe2???

yes if you have ECMP in the core load balance is supported per flow for L3VPN mpls routes
L2vpn is different as it's non-ip payload so it will use different mechanisms to handle LB such as control-word and FAT labels.

To achieve optimal load balancing though you could rely on other features as well since in large networks other unexpected factors may arise.
