In my network, one 7600 with PFC-3BXL mode runs MPLS. Now I need to install a card which belongs to CFC mode. In that case what will be the opration mode of 7600 and is there any affect on mpls feature?

Hi Senthil,
In case of CFC card, the forwarding decision is made by the PFC so it will be transparent for you.

Hi Laurent,
If you supervisory is PFC-3BXL then the working mode of 7600 is PFC-3BXL. But if you install an line card with DFC-3A then the working mode is PFC-3A. This will not support mpls. This is explained in the cisco documents. But If the line card is CFC, then what is the working mode of the 7600 and does it support MPLS?

If your PFC is running in 3BXL mode then MPLS is supported. Adding a CFC doesn't change anything because the CFC LC relies on the PFC for forwarding decision.
