Hi.
I am working with ACS 5.5
For testing I have tried to get accounting messages from a 2960S switch configured with AAA new model for Authentication Authorization and Accounting using TACACS+.
Any idea why I don't see any reports regarding accounting on the ASC?
On the switch all accounting messages are being showed if "debug aaa acounting" is configured.
Danny.

Where are you looking for tacacs accouting logs on ACS 5.5?
Have you look inside the below listed path:
Select Monitoring and Reports, launch Monitoring and Report Viewer, then select Monitoring and Reports > Reports > Catalog.
TACACS Accounting : Provides user or command accounting information for TACACS+ authentications for a selected time period.

Same here.
Config seems fine but the reports coming out blank.
Are there any configuration that I should look for at the ACS?
Best regards,
Felix

Looks like another issue with ACS 5.5.
Are you running Evaluation (60 GB HDD) ACS 5.5. on vmware?

I have the same issue. Tacacs logs was working fine on 5.4 and after upgrading to 5.5, nothing new showed up, but all the past authentication did.

Hi Danny,
I noticed you did not include a named accounting list commands in your entire configuration,
Then further include it in the console command.
aaa accounting exec NOTINCLUDED start-stop group Tacacs+
line con 0
accounting exec NOTINCLUDED
accounting commands 0 NOTINCLUDED
exit
Please revert should i be missing something

Hi All.
Downgrading to 5.4 solves the problem.
Best regards,
Danny.

Symptom:
ACS activity logs (RADIUS and TACACS+ authentication, accounting, authorization) show no new content.
Conditions:
This is observed after upgrading to ACS 5.5.
Workaround:
Stop and restart the log collector, using the following command:
# acs stop view-collector
Monitor the status of the ACS application and wait until the view process has stopped:
# show app status ACS
ACS role: PRIMARY
Process 'database' running
Process 'management' running
Process 'runtime' running
Process 'adclient' running
Process 'ntpd' running
Process 'view-database' running
Process 'view-jobmanager' running
Process 'view-alertmanager' running
Process 'view-collector' not monitored
Process 'view-logprocessor' not monitored
Then restart the log collector:
# acs start view-collector
Then wait until all of the services are running, and verify that activity is being logged.
