Hi all,
I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with connecting 4G routers using the provider Three?
I have a 881G-4G which connects perfectly connecting to cellular when using a BT sim card. It then also establishes a secure VPN tunnel to our firewall.
If I switch the sim card out from BT to Three and update the profile to "cell 0 lte profile create 1 three.co.uk none" it obtains what looks like an IP address from Three.
Interface IP-Address OK? Method Status Protocol
Cellular0 10.71.x.xxx YES IPCP up up
I cannot reach out to the internet to perform any diagnostic pings so it looks like its not connected. There is only a LTE light on the router, no PPP or VPN lights are on.
However, if I check my VPN logs on the ASA its showing as connected but from a different IP address which is confusing me.
Default2LGroup IKEv1 IPsec
92.40.xxx.xxx
Even more confusingly it is showing that packets are flowing but only being transmitted.
Bytes Tx 310444
Bytes RX 0
If I switch back to the BT sim and change the lte profile back to "cell 0 lte profile create 1 everywhere chap eesecure secure" it works again as expected. I see the IP address obtained by the router showing as connected to the VPN on the ASA and both Tx and Rx packets being logged.
myrouter#sh cell 0 all

Is there anything I can do to find out if this is a configuration issue or an ISP issue?
