Adding a Proxy server to a network

Hello,

Network security, Other Network

I need some help adding a proxy server on a private and closed network. What type of hardware and applications will I need? We also planning on adding firewall as well.

Hi

   Considering this as a on promise solution then Hardware and sofware will be one solution.   If you intend to use Cisco them you can use Umbrella for proxy and FirePower for Firewall.  There are plenty of documentation helpping how to install those.

Cisco WSA as a proxy, most of the time it was deployed in DMZ network (if you have FW), you can also use WCCP to redirect web traffic to proxy, depending on the device can support.

there is an Opensource proxy also available (SQUID) - if you looking to pursue it.
