C9500-24Y4C in Switchstack Virtual Upgrade

Hi All,

I have a pair of 9500-24Y4C's running in switchstack virtual mode on Gibraltar 16.12.4 , I believe Amsterdam 17.3.4 is the current version we should be on.

I have 2 questions.

How long does the upgrade process take ? - These switches are running as a Core in a Cusotmer Contact centre and just need an idea on total down time.

Can I upgrade direct from 16.12.4 to 17.3.4 and does anybody have any real would upgrade guides ?

what is the reason for the upgrade?  

when you upgrade from 16 to 17, there is a micro code upgrade required, read the release notes before upgrading and understand the caveats, some time hard to revert back, (means need more downtime).
