I need a couple of SFP-10G-T-X modules for a Nexus switch, so l looked at suppliers and they cost a fortune.
Next stop eBay - aside from the fake Chinese knock-offs, the genuine article is also insanely expensive, compared to their optical counterparts.
Is there any reason why real Cisco 10G copper SFPs cost so much?
Could anyone recommend a quality, 100% compatible non-Cisco SFP instead?
Thanks in advance.

@jimson8 hi , can understand your concern. you can use third party SFP with switch. But for note: cisco never recommends using third party SFP with cisco devices. in case of problem, TAC may refuse to help regarding the SFPs for Third party items. And any incompatibility, damage may affect your day to day activities. Its totally up to you to select which SFP to use but with caution.

There is a reason why FS[.]com is very popular.
Aside from price, the optics can be re-flashed. If, for unknown reasons, the optics stops working after a firmware upgrade, call them up and they can re-flash.
We have been using 3rd party optics before 2018 and they are just as reliable as the Cisco-branded optics.
