I had to figure this out on my own as well documentation is not so great.
1. Configure the CIMC
- Connect serial cable to cimc and do the following:
Connect to CIMC Serial Port
login: admin / password
Set CIMC IP:
scope cimc
scope network
set v4-address 172.31.x.x
set v4-netmask 255.255.255.0
set v4-gateway 172.31.x.1
commit
Set CIMC Password (admin)
scope user 1
set password
**enter password twice**
commit
Enable Serial over LAN (Console access for Vwaas)
scope sol
set enabled yes

To setup the Vwaas:
- Connect to Vwaas via CIMC Management Port
- ssh to ip assigned to cimc management port
-connect host (this will give you console access to Vwaas)
or
connect serial cable to console port on ENCS 54XX this will also give you console access to Vwaas
login: admin/default
To setup Vwaas - I like to use setup command easiest way to just get everything setup if you don't aready have a config built up.
**Few things to note**
- Vwaas Network Management Ports are the Built In Gige 0 or Gige 1, but they are called out in Vwaas as Virtual 1/0 or Virtual 1/1 I think.
- Vwaas intercept mode, options are wccp or appnav, unless you purchased an inline card than its Virtual Inline 3/0 or Virtual Inline 3/1.
After you have completed setup accept the settings and your done. You should be able to SSH to the assigned Vwaas IP Address.
If your adding it to a WAAS Central Manager you will need to do CMS enable if its not in your CM Manager yet.

After initialization step, i have a 10.20.0.0/24 route in the wass routing table. I don't want this route to be involved in routing decision for traffic that need to be accellerated.
wae02#show ip route Data Routes ----------- Destination Netmask Gateway Interface ----------- ------- ------- --------- 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.10.90.97 Standby 1 10.20.0.0 255.255.255.0 -- Virtual 0/0 10.10.90.96 255.255.255.240 -- Standby 1 Management Routes ----------------- Destination Netmask Gateway Interface ----------- ------- ------- ---------
How can i remove/disable this automatic configuration?
