Looking to find the total (useable) DRAM memory on Cisco ISR 4431 router. Is it 8Gb or 16 Gb ?
Thanks,
cisco ISR4431/K9 (1RU) processor with 7792789K/6147K bytes of memory. < < < < 8 Gb
8 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces
32768K bytes of non-volatile configuration memory.
16777216K bytes of physical memory. < < < < < or 16 Gb
29929471K bytes of flash memory at bootflash:.

Thanks for the response. Not many routers show these two lines for DRAM memory, any idea what each one is for. Why two different values?

Modern Cisco IOS runs in the background as a separate process (IOSd) on Linux OS. Thus, you see only a half of DRAM allocated for IOSd environment and total physical memory of entire system. You can issue `show mem` to find how much available memory in IOSd at the moment. And `show platform software status control-processor brief` command to find current memory usage of entire system. (yeap, it's a crap, no more simple cli :\)
