Hi,
I installed cisco network assistant, but when I try to import a device by entering a specific IP address (HTTP), it prompts for username/password but it doesn't accept them. The weird thing is that when I enter a specific IP address for a switch device, I can access it through CNA.
What exactly shoud I look at the devices' configuration that I cannot access?
Thank you.

Notwithstanding your earlier reply, I found that when I added "ip http authentication local" that the CNA browser interface to the device accepted the username and password I provided then put me through to the device GUI. It's worth a try and won't affect any of the device's other functionality in the meantime.

I'm not quite sure I'm following your steps exactly, but generally speaking to fully leverage CNA you should have "ip http server" and "ip http authentication {aaa | enable | local | tacacs}" as well as consistent snmp ro passwords set up on your network devices.

The device that works in the CNA doen't have the "ip http authentication" enabled. It seems that this is not the issue. When I enter an IP address to the "Connect to" prompt and select the HTTP protocol and Access-mode "Read-only", it prompts for Username/ Password for "level_15_access", but it doesn't accept them.

Can you provide the relevant configuration for the non-working device?
e.g.:
show run | i user
show run | i http
at a minimum.

switchA#sh run | i user
username admin privilege 15 secret 5 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
switchA#sh run | i http
ip http server
