Hi,
we have repeatedly upgraded our Cisco Prime server from 3.0 all the way up to 3.7.1 Update 02. However, to upgrade to version 3.8 as fresh install is needed with a subsequent Application Backup Restore from the old server running 3.7 to the newly installed one running 3.8.
We ran a server backup on the old 3.7 CPI server saving the backup to a remote SFTP repo. Then deployed a new Prime 3.8 Server (also on a VM via the 3.8 OVA file).
Next we performed a NCS reset:
ncs run reset
followed by a restore of the Prime Server Application backup
restore backupFileName repository repositoryName application NCS
but in stage 3 (unpacking backup file) the restore failed with the error "Backup file does not match installed applications".
Does anyone know this issue and how to resolve it ?
Thanks,
Thorsten
