Cisco Prime Infrastructure 2.0 --> Third Party Devices

Hello,

we are using cisco prime infrastructure 2.0. Is it possible to manage third party devices? (We have a lot of Enterasys Switches)

When i want to Archive the config of the device there is an error --> No Device Package found for the specific device.

It is necessary to install device packages for third party devices? Where can i find and install these packages?

Hi Marco

As i know for third party devices only snmp polling, snmp traps and syslog will work.

Config archive will not work. Device packages are only for cisco devices.

it seems not to be on the road-map according to the functional /feature comparison between LMS and PI 2.0:

...and I doubt it will come (quickly) because config management has a lot of pitfalls and Cisco has a lot to do to get around all of them with their own devices..

However, Inventory Management for third party devices is on the road-map
