Hello,

Is there a recommended procedure for upgrading the Cisco ios on stacked switches from Cisco Prime ? I tried on Cisco 2960S and the ios gets updated only for Master switch , resulting in Stack breaking due to ios mismatch.

On a stack deploy the .tar. On an individual switch, go for the .bin. There are no hard and fast rules for that, its just the java files are used elsewhere by other Cisco applications if you have them.

In my current work environment, i just deploy the .bin for my stack !

You need to look at the logs at /opt/CSCOpx/logs/ to see whats going on.
