Hi guys,
I had been asked to monitor some resources in servers with the HUM module but I am not sure from where could start the research.
Can someone point me the right direction or tell me if you made something like this before?
This is the requirement's list:
- Windows Services
- Services running in a specific tcp/udp port (basically test an open port)
- Active URLs (http publishing with basic authentication test)
- Data bases (availability and size)
- Shared resources (availability of files and folders)
Thanks everybody!

AFAIK, HUM is SNMP poll-based, so even in the unlikely case there's SNMP MIBs for the entirety of your requirements, you'd still be limited to having a real-time graphing portlet manually brought up for each of these on your list, every time someone wants to look at them.
IMO, you're better off looking into a solution such as Nagios with its assorted plugins (http://exchange.nagios.org/) to fill these requirements.

Thanks for your reply.
The primary goal behind this pollers are not real-time graphics monitoring but possibility to create thresholds e-mails alerts in case of status changes (down of course).
About the use of Nagios, my customer wants to use one platform for all his devices (Cisco and non-Cisco), but looking forward on this direction I had suggested others products also.
Thanks again.
