Configuring HSRP in Cisco Switches using Dynamips

Dear Friends,         

  I am in process of configuring hsrp using dynamips   

   when i am putting the comand

    SW1(config)#standby 1 ip 10.1.1.10

                                           ^                                

  % Invalid input detected at '^' marker.      

   its showing error i,e the command is support by switch ios

  Please check the show version command for ios details

Hi,

SW1(config)#

you have to be in (layer-3) interface configuration mode, e.g. on a SVI:

R1#conf term

R1(config)#interface vlan1

R1(config-if)#standby 1 ip 1.1.1.1
