CPI 2.0 supported devices: 3560 and C6807-XL

Hilario Martin

Hello,

any news about full support of Cisco Catalyst 3560 and C6800?

C6800 can be managed but there is no info about device, soft, interfaces...

C3560 can be managed but get "collection failure" and there is no data available for interfaces.

pi_update_2.0-3.ubf and pi_dev_pack_update_2.0-13.ubf has been loaded.

Thanks in advance.

Your thread says "3560".  This model is supported with PI 2.0.

But your "sh version" shows your switch to be a "3650".  Two different models but because the 3650 is a newer model, it's not yet supported by PI2.0.

Not sure if 3650 and 6800 will be supported when CPI 2.1 get release.

Hence I wanted to ask for the show version. As 3560 is a switch, but 3650 is released just a few weeks agao.

Though the NGWC devices are planned to get supported pretty faster in PI, this device will be supported on PI 2.0.1 and 2.1 onwards.

I guess the releases are suppose to come out shortly.

So, both of you devices in question are not supported for now. Please wait a little for next release to come.

c6800 doesn't shows on the suppported devices list of PI 2.0. However 3560's are. Such "Collection failure" messages are being seen with corrupt DB for device data.

Can you please try to delete and re-add the device once again.

You can download the PI 2.0 supported device from here :

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/prime/infrastructure/2.0/supported/devices/pi20-supported_devices_list.xlsx

Hello Vinod,

I have deleted device and re-added after, but I get same issue.

Any other idea about it?

Here we have log:

[ICE Service[ 1]Thread: 31] [ice] [ERROR] - An error occurred while processing post-collection hook: 192.168.1.1 for device with id 2453454 java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException with cause com.cisco.xmp.inventory.ice.PostCollectionHookException: check the log files for details"

Thanks!

As per the error it says :

Wireless Controller inventory collection failed

Please confirm if this is a switch of any Wireless controller? Share show version from the device.

Logs should be available on Inventory.log.

Thanks for you info  Leo & Vinod and sorry about mistake on model of catalyst.

I hope new CPI  relase comes out soon.

Regards.

Cisco is aware of new controller in NGWC needs to be managed via PI. The new releases are planned as early as possible in Mar-Apr.
