Data Collection functions

Hello everybody,

I'm starting to work with Cisco Prime LMS and I want to know what Data Collection process exactly do.

I have seen that this process is running every four hours (Data Collection Schedule) and every 2 hours (Data Colletion All Devices Pollers).

I need to know if it's an optimal configuration or, otherwise, this schedule could be running too much "jobs" for Cisco Prime LMS.

We are running LMS 4.2.2

This process keeps you topology map up to date.

Not realtime, but accoring to the defined schedule.

It also works out how devices are connected together and fills the 'discrepancies' and 'best pratice deviation' reports.
