I've been coming back to this lab as it just doesn't seem to work correctly for me, trying "Configure DHCP on a Wireless Router". Each time I've tried something isn't right. It's very simple, connecting 3 PCs to a DHCP enabled router, then changing the IP of the router through the first PC. This should result in an error, but usually the request times out and things work out until requesting a new IP from the next PC, which results in APIPA being used. When I get the error of the port not being usable, I can't even request an IP from the first PC without the APIPA failure. Am I missing something? There are so few steps, I don't understand what could be going wrong. My biggest concern is why I'm getting the request time out when changing the router settings, what's going on there?

Hello,
what project is that, a Packet Tracer project ? If so, post the zipped Packet Tracer project (.pkt) file. If not, post a schematic drawing of your topology, showing how your devices are connected. Also include the full running configurations (sh run) of all devices involved.
